Post Content Creation

Chat GTP.

The two (or is it four?) scariest words in the English language.

At least for the creative artist type of person.

How do we address this existential crisis?

Like ths mby we ckould tri ttoo make somee noiz that sounkds dirnfnet?

Or just. Rely (on) non-standard. GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION. and capitialization. Uniquify our content to make it humanzzzzz.

Every. SINGLE. WRITE. Mustways be uniquified thus there canst beno immitation by the un grokking turing-fiend.

Well no.
Each of those obnoxious styles of writing would work for a short time, and then the underlying pattern could be imitated by increasingly capable AI.

There is only one thing AI cannot do, and that is create things that are truly new.

Wait a second, you object, have you not seen all the “new” things AI created?

I mean it can write a whole script in the style of Seinfeld as acted out by talking unicorns! How much more original can you get?

And here’s where we have to stop the crazy train and get off.

Recombining things (Seinfeld, unicorns) that already existed in new ways is not creation. It never was.

It was work, sure, but not creation.

Chat GTP and the AI transformer engines have done us a great service. They have clarified and will clarify what is and isn’t creative. What is and isn’t valuable or interesting.

Specifically, if AI can do it, it isn’t creative, or valuable, or interesting.

It is simple, really.

Write on. To the unknown.
